Four finely carved wooden stools, Tuscany, Carlo X period, first half of the 19th century. Measurements: cm W 40 x H 46; seat diameter cm 34 Price: private negotiation Item accompanied by our certificate of authenticity Elegant group of four Tuscan stools in finely carved wood, Carlo X period, first half of the 19th century. Each stool is made of solid cherry wood; the band under the circular seat is veneered with the same wood essence, as is the shaped stretcher of the legs. Each stool is characterized by a padded seat, upholstered in light-colored fabric, which dialogues with the tone of the wood. The smooth band under the seat rests on three arched volute legs, carved in the round and topped with vigorous projecting griffin heads, rendered with great detail. The legs end at the bottom in animalistic feet, which reinforce the zoomorphic character of the ensemble. The three legs of each stool converge towards the structural stretcher, ensuring stability to the seat, and conferring a graceful profile. The compact and sinuous line, combined with the refinement of the carved details, makes them ideal both as conversation seats and as precious accent elements in a classic or contemporary eclectic interior. The group is perfect for being used together around a small table or distributed freely in any environment, while maintaining a strong visual unity and great decorative charm, rarely found in four specimens.
